About

We built the tool we always wished existed.

Speech therapy is hands-on, relationship-driven work. But somewhere along the way, the tools got complicated.

Subscriptions to manage. Logins to remember. Wi-Fi to troubleshoot. Card decks to print, laminate, sort, and inevitably lose the night before a session. Google Slides that freeze mid-session. Boom Cards that won’t load without a signal. Apps that only work on one device, in one operating system, behind one more paywall.

We built Smarty Pants Speech because the technology was getting in the way of the therapy.

A new category.

We didn’t set out to make another digital resource. We set out to solve a specific problem: SLPs needed tools that worked in real clinical conditions — not ideal ones.

That’s how the Micro-App was born.

A Micro-App does exactly one thing exceptionally well. It installs on any device like a native app. It works completely offline. It requires no login, no platform subscription, and no setup. You buy it once, and it’s yours — no renewals, no expiration, no surprises.

Small scope isn’t a limitation. It’s the whole point. When a tool does one thing and does it perfectly, it gets out of your way and lets you do your work.

What Makes Snappit Different

Real photography. Real generalization. Every image in Snappit is a real-world photograph — not clip art, not cartoons, not ambiguous line drawings. Research supports that realistic imagery promotes generalization of speech sounds to everyday environments. When a student practices with images that resemble their actual world, the skill is more likely to carry over into real life. That’s the whole point.

Age-appropriate for every student. Cartoon flashcards work great for five-year-olds. Your twelve-year-old doesn’t agree. Snappit’s imagery is clean, realistic, and neutral — so older students can engage without feeling like the materials came off a kindergarten shelf. One app, appropriate for your entire caseload.

Single-purpose by design. Every Snappit app targets one sound. Not a suite. Not a platform. Not a subscription with features you’ll use once. One app, one skill, ready the moment you need it. No learning curve. No setup. Pick it up mid-session, and it just works.

Built for groups. Track up to 6 students simultaneously in a single session. Switch between them with one tap. Score correct, incorrect, and prompted responses for each student. Download your session data as a CSV before the next student walks in. Data collection that works at the speed of a real caseload.

Leave the card deck behind. No printing. No laminating. No accordion folder. No searching for the card that went home in someone’s backpack three weeks ago. Your entire word set lives on the device that’s already in your therapy room.

Your Students’ Data Is None of Our Business.

Snappit does not collect, transmit, or store any session data, student information, or clinical records — ever. Not on our servers. Not anywhere outside your device.

All session data lives exclusively on your device. When you close the app, it stays there. When you export your CSV it goes to you. Nothing is sent to us, stored by us, or accessible to us.

This is not a policy we adopted. It’s how the app was built. Snappit has no backend database, no user accounts, and no data pipeline. There is literally nothing to breach.

Use Snappit with confidence in school-based settings, private practice, hospital settings, and teletherapy.

Who Snappit Is For

Snappit is for SLPs and SLPAs who are done apologizing for their tools.

Done apologizing when the Wi-Fi goes out. Done apologizing when the platform is down. Done apologizing when the app only works on the iPad, and today you only have a Chromebook.

Snappit works in school-based settings with no signal. It works in private practice on any device you own. It works in teletherapy, in-home visits, in hospital settings, and in the car between stops on a home health route.

If you’ve ever lost a session minute to a login screen, a buffering wheel, or a missing laminated card — this was made for you.

Small apps. Big therapy results.

We’re just getting started. Snappit launched with articulation — /s/, /l/, and /ch/ — with more sounds and more goal areas on the way. Every app we build will follow the same principles: offline first, no login, one-time purchase, real photography, single purpose.

One app. One skill. Always ready.
